There are a good handful of people who have been waiting a long time for this wedding (me being one of those people :) ), so it was way too much fun to be able to celebrate Daniel and Katelyn’s wedding day with them! Katelyn and Daniel met at John Brown University their freshman year of college, so it was absolutely fitting that they also get married there! Here's their special day from the camera's point of view...
Katelyn and her ladies got ready downstairs in the Cathedral of the Ozarks, the very building that would be their backdrop for their wedding ceremony.

Daniel, on the other hand, got ready at the Simmons Great Hall, where his guys sported boutonnières made out of shotgun shells (fitting if you know Daniel at all). :)

Katelyn really wanted the first look at the old Simmons Pet Food Barn (if you know anything about Siloam, you know this barn sits right by corporate office, and is a beautiful area!). When they saw each other, it was pure joy. Katelyn had been waiting all day for this moment, and the second he turned to look at her, you could tell any sense of nervousness washed away into absolute excitement.

Hey Macarena!

After taking some fun photos of their wedding party (that whole crew is hilarious), we headed back to JBU for some more photos before the ceremony. The ceremony took place right on the lawn in front of the Cathedral and fountain, one of my favorite spots on campus. It was an answered prayer that they had the ceremony outside with no problems, because there was a chance of rain all week on their wedding day! I’m so glad we were able to celebrate the start of a new life together in this spot.

There were a good amount of happy tears from the ceremony, as Katelyn’s grandfather officiated the ceremony (a memory that will always be cherished) and the emotions of the moment made it a touching event. Daniel and Katelyn poured colored sand into a framed photo of themselves to visually display their unity, and just like that they were married!

The reception took place in the Great Hall, where the room was dressed in rose petals and candlelight. One of my favorite moments of the day was after the first dance, Katelyn and Daniel started swing dancing, a hobby that they took up while dating. The way her dressed twirled about was magical!

After cutting the cake, giving toasts, playing the shoe game, and tossing the bouquet/garter, it was time to run out through a sea of bubbles!

It was such an honor to be a part of a day, especially one of two friends whom I care for dearly. Thank you for including me in your big day!
Shout out to my husband, Stephen, for being my second shooter! I couldn't do this without you.
