Let me start with this: these two are SO precious!! If you haven't noticed from my other posts, I love photographing friends' weddings most, and this one joins many others at the top of the list! Emily has been in my life since we were kids, and I can tell you that Evan is the PERFECT match for her! What a beautiful union to witness! Here's how the day went from our lens' perspective...

First off, do you notice that CLOUD COVER?? The day was predicted to be a doozy 110 degree heat index, but miraculously, rain moved in during the morning and made the day much cooler! Almost everything was in place when we arrived. Emily was nearly ready to slip into her dress (oh my goodness, she looked gorgeous in it too!), and Evan looked SO handsome in his suit and tie. The day to say "I do" was here!

The lace on Emily's bouquet was a small snippet from her mother's gown. How sweet!!

We did the first look right in the entryway to the church (I just love how the place looked!).

I love this: their two closest friends stood by them on their day. Danielle and Ben instantly made you feel like they were your friend; great choices Emily and Evan! ;)

After running to family formals, it was time to hide out and get married! Yay!

This was a sweet moment: during the unity cross, Evan's mom and Emily's mom played a duet together. If you didn't know, they are both extremely talented musicians, and it was beautiful. I don't know how they held it together while playing, because I sure was a teary mess! :)

And just like that, they were Mr. and Mrs. Smith!

The reception was held in the lobby (which we LOVED the window light!), and it was decorated in the most wonderful fashion. Baby's Breath, vintage tea sets and candles graced every table. Even the cakes copied the feel with how the icing topped them! Everything pulled together so well, it was lovely!

After bellies were filled with cake and a delicious buffet, the happy couple was on their way (through an ocean of bubbles, no doubt). :)

Congratulations on a wonderful day!! We feel so blessed to be a part of it.
