Hooray for this day!!! Jim and Abby's wedding was one for the books, because it was so fun (and with so many familiar faces!). Abby and I met at Molly and Harry's winter wedding over a year ago, where she was a bridesmaid. When she inquired about photos, it was a no-brainer that if we could be there, we'd make it happen. Stephen and I loved seeing so many friends we made at Molly's wedding all over again, and falling in love with Kansas in the summertime.
Here's how the day went from our perspective...
When we first arrived at Ebenfeld MB Church, the girls and guys were busy getting ready! After a quick lunch, Abby put on her dress, and the moment where she saw herself for the first time in the mirror was a tear-jerker (the first of many for the day!). The girls then prayed over her for the day, just before she was taken upstairs to meet Jim for the first look on the porch...
This wedding party was a BLAST. Jim and Abby truly have the greatest friends and siblings you could ask for!
A fun "hehe" of the day: during the first look, a few bridesmaids found pinwheels in the children's classroom they were getting ready in. So when I said, "Look right here! One... two..." they all dropped their flowers to reveal the pinwheels right on, "Three!" It was a good giggle. :)

After some family photos following the party photos, it was time to get married! Guests made their way to the church where they were greeted with the order of service on the chalkboard. The church is actually one that Abby's family has been getting married in for generations! It made the ceremony all the sweeter knowing that her parents and grandparents before her also made promises of forever here.
And just like that, they were Mr. and Mrs. McClary!
Guests were then dismissed to the reception in the hall by the sanctuary. Paper flowers adorn the tables, while guests chatted and enjoyed a delicious homemade meal (the meatloaf was out of this world!!). Speeches were made by the best man/maid of honor, and then it was time to head out.
This was another teary moment in the day: Jim presented this Bible and cover to Abby that Jim's grandpa did the tooling and staining to. The cover refers to the Proverbs 31 woman, "Many woman do noble things, but you surpass them all" (cue the tears!!).
SURPRISE! We weren't done quite yet :) . We actually headed over to Abby's parent's farm, just a couple miles from the church, to take a few more portraits in the glowing sun. The property was GORGEOUS, and felt so personal to Abby and Jim. We loved hanging out with them more and getting these timeless photos!
One major win of Abby's dress: the twirling! She enjoyed spinning around and around and watching it twist with her. :)
Congratulations on your new season, friends! We are so excited to see where the Lord takes you in the coming years.
