Wedding season is up and running, and this one was a fun one to get started with! Marcos and Chrissy's big day was full of laughter, some happy tears, lots of family and friends, and plenty of yummy food (their tres leches cakes were SO delicious).

When I joined the girls, hair and makeup was at full force in the hotel room! Everyone was working so diligently and swift while I started taking the first few photos! While Chrissy was getting her makeup done, her mom came in and started getting all teary watching her. Chrissy quickly said (in true Chrissy fashion), "Mom, you can't cry now, because I'll cry and I just got my makeup on!!" :) We all laughed even in the teary, happy moments. Once Chrissy slipped into her dress, with the help of mom and her matron of honor, we were off to John Brown University to take some pictures in the field right on the outskirts of campus.

During this time, Stephen (my husband and second photographer) had joined the guys. After figuring out how to tie a tie (you do learn those things on the wedding day :) ), the guys decided to go out and play soccer in a field nearby. When Marcos brought up the idea originally, Chrissy made sure Stephen agreed to make sure he wouldn't get all sweaty in his suit. :) Eventually, they moved over to John Brown University for some additional photos, where I eventually met them, and then we headed off to the church!

Once we arrived at First Baptist Church of Gentry, it was almost ceremony time! The ceremony went by in a happy blur, a beautiful mix of two marital traditions, cultures, and languages coming together in the most wonderful way. The way Marcos and Chrissy looked when they saw each other for the first time was so so touching; my eyes were getting blurry as I was tearing up watching them! Soon, they were walking down the aisle as husband and wife.

After getting some portraits, we then headed over to the reception. I have never seen a more lovely reception of community and friendship than at this wedding. Everyone just adored Marcos and Chrissy. They all wanted photos with them, to hug and sincerely bless them. One of my favorite moments was when a group of guys prayed over Marcos right in the middle of the reception. When it was time to head out, we couldn't believe the day was done; it went by all too quickly!

Wishing the warmest blessings to this sweet couple and their future; God will bless them in so many beautiful ways, I just know it! Here's how the day was through my and my husband's lenses...

Of course, the guys had to play futball after getting ready. :)

Chrissy's nephew kept picking up the petals and trying to put them in his cousin's basket. :) It was precious!

And just like that, they were married!

LOVE this! You are a beautiful bride Chrissy!

Everyone wanted a photo with the bride and groom (and I'm pretty sure everyone got one!). :)

Giving hugs goodbye before heading out.

They may or may not be laughing because Marcos forgot to unlock the car before trying to open the door for his bride. :)
