Last Saturday was a wonderful celebration of Zack and Annie! After photographing Annie as a bridesmaid in multiple weddings (including her sister and brother-in-law's wedding :) ), Stephen and I were so excited to capture her wedding day to Zack. They are the friendliest couple you'll meet, full of the peace and joy of the Lord. Here's how the day went from our perspective...

Annie shared a first look with her daddy right on the front porch. He had the most tender reaction and was so encouraging to his youngest (isn't she beautiful??).

Once Zack came over, we had the first look take place at the Brown family barn (one of their favorite spots on the property). As he turned around, he immediately said, "WOW!" and took it all in as Annie walked up for a hug. It was a sweet moment!

Apparently it's a Brock brother tradition to do a "trust fall" on your wedding day. I think Stephen might have had a heart attack watching. :)

I also learned that if anyone wants to be the "fun aunt," it's super important to have a train long enough to turn into a tent at a moment's notice. 😉

After some portraits, we headed to the church and counted down to the ceremony! As Annie walked down the aisle, Zack was contagiously grinning ear-to-ear. My favorite moment was their first kiss (that they saved for their wedding day!). It was a beautiful celebration before their friends and God.

Absolute joy. 😄

When we arrived at the reception, the smell of coffee filled the air... literally! The highlight feature at the reception was a coffee bar with a variety of options to brew. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal served by the Holiday Inn catering staff, and Zack and Annie enjoyed celebrating with friends met from all over the world (again, quite literally! 😄 ).

Instead of a bouquet toss, the Bride & Groom handed out bouquets to the grandmothers. So sweet!

Another favorite touch was the exit, where wheat kernels from Kansas (a nod to Zack's family roots) were tossed on the couple. Once they made it to the car though, they discovered not only was it decorated... but it was full of balloons. Like, overflowing with balloons. 😄 It made everyone laugh!

Congratulations you two!! We are so excited to see where the Lord leads you next.
